The facility is intended to support the company’s cell therapy pipeline by bringing the collection process in-house. Leukapheresis—the extraction of white blood cells from a patient’s blood for use in manufacturing personalized immunotherapies—has long been a logistical bottleneck in the cell therapy supply chain.
